University of Liverpool
Our long-term relationship with the University of Liverpool’s Development and Alumni Team continues with the launch of the latest issue of Alumni magazine, a publication for which we provide editorial support, copywriting and design.
The magazine has continued its design development since we launched the new format in 2016. The mix of longer editorial features and shorter alumni news pieces is a mix that appeals to this proud alumni audience.
This issue contains an interview with The Tate’s first female Director and University alumna, Maria Balshaw, where she told us how Liverpool had shaped her future.
Additional features showcased the 125th anniversary of the establishment of the University’s Law School through a vibrant timeline. Bold typography and graphic-led layouts brought a feature on how Liverpool is harnessing the transformative power of digital to life. And the amazing story of medical graduate Dr Ken Hedges, who took in part the first transit to the Arctic Ocean in 1962, is a real stand-out using amazing archive photography and a minimalist design.
The magazine was printed on a tactile uncoated stock and mailed out in a bespoke envelope that complemented the look and feel. This latest issue feels at home in the suite of communication materials that the University produces each year.
