A daily dose for London Wine Fair

White Light was delighted to be asked by the new team heading up the London Wine Fair to design and produce three separate papers – one for each day of the Fair.

Each 24-page paper featured industry views, articles highlighting key areas and the people appearing each day, and a daily programme of talks and seminars. 

The content and imagery were supplied by the client and White Light was able to support where required by suggesting suitable headings, including the cover lines which worked as a series of wine related-titles.

The design and style was inspired by the Fair’s branding and utilised the diagonal colour blocks and triangles. The use of a logical text hierarchy and big bold headlines made it easy for the reader to dip in and out of the paper and to get a good idea of what each day held.

With an event-driven deadline there is no room for missing print cut-off dates. The nature of organising events means there is always last-minute rescheduling and additional sponsor content to be added. However, with all hands on deck and a streamlined amends process, the papers were turned around and ready to print a week after final content was provided, and were ready for delivery a day early.
